Hey guys I was wondering if any of you knew how to use the mbox 1 with cool edit pro as a soundcard since Pro tools seems like it is too much to handle for my laptop. any help much appreciated, thanks

I have no idea. But I thought mbox had its own software, so if that's the case then it seems a bit daft trying to use CE with it.
Anyway, if Protools is too much for your laptop to handle, and if you've got Cool Edit, why not just use Cool Edit on your laptop and ditch mbox and protools? What kinda soundcard you got on the laptop?

I’m not 100% sure about this but my guess is that M-box wouldn’t like CEP because CEP doesn’t support ASIO.knockout511 said:

RP150 uses ASIO drivers and it has USB connection to PC but he is forced to have additional monitoring system.
So he uses his onboard audio card for monitoring.
Uh! This sounds pretty complicated. I tried to rephrase it several times but my English SUCKS!
Adobe Audition 2.0 supports ASIO.
Don’t buy it unless you’re 100% it would work. But you can download Trial version and test it.
