Matching Vocals to current vocals.

Ok. What im trying to say is... I am doing a remix of a song. and i want to sound as if i were in the same studio etc. Is there anyway i can set the eq of vocals to sound the same? Any program that will read the acapella and give me some feed back? Of just using the good old ears?

Go record in the same studio with the same engineer with the same mic the same pre the same console....

Well I think you get the picture...

In other words you are not going to sound exactly the same.

You could potentially use convolution software to create an impulse of the vocal sound and then apply that to your vocal. I've never done it, but it seems possible if you have a clip with just the vocal.

Of course, if the track you are remixing was recorded in a famous studio, you might even be able to find an impulse of the vocal booths from that studio on the web. Good luck.

Of course, all the stuff bigwillz said is true, too. You might get in the ballpark, but copping an exact sound is next to impossible.

I doubt you can match it too but you might want to try a submix with the new vocals using a little of the same verb across them all.
