Ahh humma humma humma
(Sorry for the double post... I got the old "... could not be found" when I tried to submit the first post)
Okay... you've all got me thinking...
I have been borrowing a DAT deck for sometime for use in the studio and was considering purchasing one.
However... I typically burn test copies off to a CD through the computer etc etc... BIG hassle.
So, I'm thinking instead of a DAT deck, that the Masterlink might be the solution for me.
Have any of you had any issues getting mastering houses to accept pre-masters done in the CD24 format? I'd hate to have to send pre-masters of as a 44.1k CD.
How's the audio quality compared to a computer CD burner (assuming a generic sound card was used for A/D conversion on the computer)?
How's it compare to a nice DAT (say a Panasonic 3700?)?
Any other insight or comments?
Cheers!
