masterlink normalizin

hey - last time i normalized on my masterlink i lost a lot of low end...or maybe it was 4 in the AM. has anyone experienced this phenomenon before (loss of low end - not 4AM ear tricks) and is there any work around? i have t do a ghetto master quick next week and am wondering if there is a common problem to these...

just a cheap version of mastering...you know...setting levels, fading, making the cd...without paying for it.
