mastering on DP02cf

whats the best "headphone" volume to use when mastering on the dp02cf? whenever i think i have a loud enough master, when it comes time to listen to it, its too low, because i had the volume on the headphones too high.. but it sounded so awesome at the time i mastered....??

On mine I usually run the master volume at 8 and then adjust the track faders accordingly. You will definitely have to turn the headphones down, unless you are already half deaf. The meters are going to be your best tool in determining the output level. If you have the headphone level cranked up and the levels are showing low output, that gives you an idea where to start.
