Hello,
I have a small digital recorder, but it doesn't Master well
enough to even be called mastered.
My c.d. is all acoustical instruments and I don't expect to
sell very many, but I wish to make a few more c.d.'s too.
If I pay to have each one Mastered by a professional,
it seems like a waste of money.....can anyone recommend
a Mastering Program for the computer or??????
Help, Lolly

Download the trial version of Cool Edit and play around with that. If it is just for yourself you can get some pretty good results with CE 2.0.

Naw... if people want to fuck their projects over with self-masterbat, er... mastering, then who am I to disagree?!!?! :p

:D

I just tracked a really good fart, it sounds ok but i think it needs that special 'touch'.
Do you think i should send it to a mastering house??

Waves L2, waves broadband eq and Waves linmb should be sufficient.

Only if you're going to release it! ;)

Waituminut... you already did! :p

Just slap some verb on the conductor, throw some maxx bass on the Jesus choo-choo, and you should be all set.

That's what I use, but I always let the client decide if they want that version, or the raw mix...
So far, they seem to like my "post editing"...
