Hi,

Anybody heard the Marshall MG series amps?
I'm looking at the 10 watt model to use with my Jstation.

It has a cd line input, better to plug the line outs of the Jstation into I think, they always seem to hot when I plug them into the guitar input of my current amp.
I want to mic the amp for recording.

Thanks,
Pete

if u want a good portable marshall amp, get a atv2000, they sound better than the mgs, have more gain, and since it has a tube pre amp that i think sounds great. In my opinion it would sound a lot better on tape.

one more thing

hey another idea... if ur using the amp for recording don't. Since the jstation is a direct recording modeler, u shouldn't run it through an amp first; even when u run it on clean, the voicing of the amp will alter the sound from the jstation, and the amp simulation won't be as accurate as opposed to running the amp directly to a recording board.

when going from a modeler (j-Station) try a small keyboard amp or just a small power amp and speaker......

Thanks guys!

Gidge,
You mean like a monitor/amp setup,or a pa setup?

BTW-I'm starting on that song today,my back has been out for 2 weeks. I'm going to crawl upstairs and play my guitar today if it kills me:D

Best to you,
Pete
