Finally being a dad has really paid off and I got me a phat MG100RCD amp for father's day!:D

Only trouble is that I don't have a speaker cab to plug it in to to hear how it sounds. I've played through the JCMs and absolutely love them, but I'm not sure how the solid state will compare to those warm tube amps. I've used the Marshall (whatever) rack mount distortion units, and I loved that as well. I can't imagine anything sucky come out of a Marshall.

I can't find any reviews on line, wondering if anyone knowledgable out there can give me a heads up on what to expect out of my new baby? I expect I'll pick me up a valvestate 412A cab when I get my studio finished so as not to torture the kids.

Lemme no!

Holy Kamchatka Fever Batman: it's an infinite universe of space between rats' ears!

I'm almost certain there must be a few Marshall Amplifier users out there, so just feel free to chime in at any time. They say the MG100CD is that guitar player from White Zombie's amp of choice, but that leave's me somehow unsettled because my sound is so much different than that kind.

Hey anyone gots a speaker cabinet I can use for a while?

I have a VS series Marshall and really like the tone.
i know its not an MG series but it is still a hybrid.
I think the overdrive and distortion on it is comparable to
a jcm 900 and the clean tone is pretty good as well.

I only hope so. A week and a half later and it's still in the box.
