Marshall JCM 800

I have heard some good things about these. I saw two really old ones today (from the early 80s i think), didnt get a chance to play either of them due to lack of time. One was a halfstack and was $1800 (cdn) the other was a white combo of the same thing but for $1300 (cdn). I think the halfstack had 4 12s on it.

Are these good prices? (keeping in mind that I'm in canada.)
What are your thoughts on them?

If you have found early 80's jcm800s then you have found the holy grail of hard rock guitar sound. The give away is when the 2 inputs are vertical (no side by side) that is an early one. If it has 6550's for power tubes youve got something great.

Look on ebay. The half stack (amp and cab) should be around $1300 to $1500 (us) I don't know about the combo (they made a ton of different ones, I would need more info)
