Mann Microphones - Who knows something about 'em?

I haven't seen these mentioned around any of the forums. A friend of mine recently purchased a couple of small diaphragm condensers for about $80 US.

Do they make their own products or are they another Asian knockoff?

i'm not sure about knockoffs..
to me they seem to be SE mics..
the mt91 which actually seems to be an alright mic seem to be just like the SE5500...

i emailed them about the mt91.. i also asked for audio samples of it..

My Apex 431 bears a striking resemblence [mic body] to the M2 model of Mann.

Don't know about the internal components but the body sure looks like it came from the same mold.

They are knock offs.

they are made by 797 audio though, so you might wanna take a look at them if the price is right.. 797 also makes Studio projects mics along with many other companies.

Where did you get the info re 797?

a friend of mine emailed someone at prorec, and they gave him a list of no name companies that are made by 797 audio..mann was one of them on the list

I'd be interested in seeing that list..............also whether they covered the other (two) Asian manufacturers, Fielo and Soundking.

Those Peak Audio mics with their 797 logo are an interesting development.
