Insane Genious!
I can't help myself, I have to rave about the new synthesizer module in Reason 2.0: Malström. It's a "granular table synthesis", i.e. a wave table, similar to the Waldorf PPGs and Waves.

It sounds so good! Problem is that I would need a new computer in my studio to really use it, so it's going to be expensive. :-)

It has a veri cool feature called "shift". What that does it changing the speed of the wave without changing the frequency of the oscillator. That way you can for each oscillator cycle hear the wave twice, or 1 and half times, or just the first quarter of the wave, and so on. This Is basically like syncing the oscillaator to another oscillator, and creates that type of sound. The amount of shift can be controlled by the LFO, which have loads of different waveshapes and can be MIDI synced.

So, since each of the two oscillators can be "falsely" synced to itself, and the waveforms it can produce thanks to the wave tables are very complex, and you can control all this with complex LFO waves, you can easily make some seriously interesting and complex sounds with this little module.

I love it!

I knew a wave table synthesizer would be a good addition to my Nord Modular, but this is better than I expected. I don't think the Waldorfs have that shift feature, which is too bad, it is really neat!
