Making TRS patch cables

I thought I might have missed something. I know some people who patch (front of bays) everything. The bays look ugly with a million cables pluged in. Also a waste of money.

Regarding my experience with 2 conductor vs starquad. I find the starquad causes some HF antenuation. The longer the cable the more pronounced. Also starquad is harder to work with. I like Mogami vs belden etc. Mogami has a wrapped shield instead of braided. The wrapped sheild is less robust in terms of withstanding sharp bends and people stepping on them.

like I said, the CANARE starquad was for cheap, if he couldnt afford the mogami.
Like I also said, Im not concerned about the starquad's sound for short single permanent stuff, or for patch cables
And like I also said, I have found this canare starquad to be VERY extremely reliable, especially for something like a patch cable which is going to be bent mercilessly

the braid IS a bitch to work with, but its also a hell of a lot stronger

Would the mogami wire be worth the extra price for such a short distance? It's basically between the canare and mogami. Do people using patch bays use the quad cable for patch cables?

OK. Between last night and today the first link that I put up (the dancetech one) in the message above was changed. Now, when you get to the message that says that Dancetech has moved click on their link and once you are at the hompage, click on the Articles button at the top. On the drop down that appears on the next page select "Tech articles" and scroll 2/3 of the way down.

The quad cable = better S/N ratio (S/N for Signal/Noise)
why?

Cuz they are twisted pairs and when the shit is twisted, it has a better protection against noise.

It's like the RJ45 cable for networks... it's an UTP or STP. Unshielded Twisted Pairs or Shielded Twisted Pairs... If your RJ45 werent twisted inside, you would have alot of problem to send/receive data near an electric cable cuz there would be induction in your RJ45 and some 0s would turn up into 1s and vice-versa. I know it's pretty basic but it might help some ppl to understand why Quad cable is better than normal one. 4 cables twisted togheter has a better protection than 2.

Now I've never seen one of those cables so excuse me if it's not the way they're built, I just went with the more possible way. Excuse my english also, im learning.
