I am not sure this is the best forum but maybe someone can help me.

I have a tape of my band that I have captured to my hard drive as a solid wave file. It is about 70 minutes.

What is the best way to break it up into individual songs to place on a cd so that when the cd is played on a computer the names of the songs will show up in a play list?

Do I have to cut each song out?

Any help appreciated
Thanks

It's up to you whether or not you want each song to be a different track. I reccomend that you do.
Here's how you can break each song up:
-Download the FREEWARE program Audacity
-Load the WAV file in there, and play it until you complete one song.
-Highlight from that point 'till the beginning [i.e. that whole song], copy, and paste it into a new file.
-Save it as a WAV file.
-Burn each track to a CD!

If you don't have CD burning software, look here and download a trial or something.
If you're on Windows XP, I think it comes with its own CD burning stuff.

Yo Digger:}

Wave files have to be imported to some recording device; then, the wave file has to become a stereo track which then can be burned to CD.

Just did some for the first time. Got some of my songs back from my friend Cavillo in California -- he did the editing in Wave and I imported the wave into my Yam 2816 and then did the stereo track and then the CD.

Not really complicated -- a learning experience.

Have fun.
