does anyoneelse use any of magix software? i have music studio g6 and the audio cleaning software

I used Magix v2000 for a couple years. 8 stereo tracks of digital audio for $20.

I have Magix Audio Studio 5 and like it pretty well. I don't record directly into it, but i dump in tracks to mix (for more layering capability without bouncing just a few parts down at a time, to avoid bad decisions) Anyway, I like it pretty well so far.

yep

I was using magix for a while but it really does have its limits. Get pro tools,, you can the free version cracked for 32 tracks from kazaa lite.. Def, worth it...

I really wouldn't recommend that, I tried downloading a cracked version of PT from Kazaa ('cause I couldn't get that stupid PTFree version to work) and got a nice little virus, which also dissabled the "go back in time" feature on XP... But luckily we did fix it when we uninstalled PT and searched for and deleted every single file that it had installed. Now the puter's workin' great.

Plus, even with the cracked version, you still need their hardware to be able to even open up the program...

Should be OK, they are the ones making Samplitude.
Samplitude is an AWESOME program!! I've never used Pro Tools (other than that stupid PTFree that I never could get to work  ) but from what I've heard from lots of people that have used both is that Samplitude is A LOT better!!

I have also tried the Magix Music Maker 7 demo and it's pretty good for the price. The Delux version looks much better, but they don't have a demo for it...

Yes, I know what you mean!

Just being able to use the Room Sim in real time alone is gonna be worth the upgrade price to v7.0!!

I have MAGIX Music Studio V5 and V6,...

and I like them, but I'm not a computer-intensive recordist. I use analog recorders and mixers for most of my recording, and will invoke MAGIX at mixdown time to record wavs to the 'puter.

I think if I were to become a computer-based recordist, strictly, then MAGIX would be okay for me. My V5 software has 16-tracks max, and I think my V6 software has 32-tracks max, [audio].
