Hello,

I am recording using a Yamaha EX7 and Cubase; I want to get MIDI in my tracks. I believe there will be some latency problems that will probably be fixed with Quantization....

Now... Is the M-Audio UNO my best best on a buget to get this done?

Thanks

I have one and I am not happy with it. It forgets to find itself on boot up in Windows XP and you have to unplug the USB wire and reinsert it so it wakes up. I would probably recommend the MIDISPORT 1x1 but you may still have the problem if its the same driver.

If you can go to someone else’s brand, you may be better off unless you don't mind crawling behind your computer and unplugging then replugging the USB connector.

Wait is the midisport 1x1 something else? Thought it was the same thing.
Well I have it too and here it's working fine actually. No problems like Middleman describes.

Yes, the Uno and the Midisport are two different things. It's good to hear that the Midisport works fine. I may have to make the jump to that unit. The Uno is cumbersome.

Why don't you try the Edirol(Roland) USB MIDI adaptors?
