I purchased the M-Audio Project Mix I/O new from ebay about 2 months ago. I was recording a band 2 weeks ago and I started hearing a little static in channel 5. The static increased as I turned up the gain to the point of clipping. I reloaded all the drivers and software and it didn't fix the problem. I can't use my channel 5 anymore.
I'm not sure how hard it is to damage a pre-amp but that the only thing I can think of?
Can someone tell me how I can isolate this problem to the preamp?
