I've got the M-Audio Delta 66 running into the Omnistudio breakout box (for those not familiar, it includes two mic preamps with neutrik connecters, and a slew of other I/O for headphones, monitor, fx in/out, etc). Anyway, is multi-track recording even capable on this thing? It has four "inputs"... I've been sluffing about in Ableton Live and haven't been able to figure it out.

Delta users comment?

thanks

I have the delta 66 (without the omni box) and, yes, it does multitrack recording just fine. I'm not familiar with Ableton, but it's probably just a matter of getting the hardware inputs configured properly within the software.

thanks :D, that reassures me to some extent. Does latency suffer when recording on multiple inputs?

i have a delta44 with the omni breakout box. you can record up to four track simultanously with it. i've never even had the slightest latency problems with it. even when i recorded 4 tracks.

If it means anything to you, I use a Delta 66 and a Delta 44 at the same time and record 10 tracks (2 spdif) at the same time quite often. Latency has never been an issue at all.
