Has anyone had any experience with the BX8's? I have them on order with some other home recording equipment. I am going to use them for playback from the roland vs-2400 recorder.
I am hoping they can produce the highs and lows needed for good recording editing. Thanks! :D

Use the search function above, KK. Lots written recently about M-Audio monitors.

They worked really, really well for me. Then I moved into a different house, and I was able to get them off of my desk, and onto bookshelves a couple feet back and spread really wide, so that I am in that triangle. now they don't work as good. my vocal levels are never right. I haven't really looked into why; but I had really, really good mixes with them before.

I've had them for over a year and like them. Would really like to have the sub that goes with them though as the bass is a little weak. But then again it's only an 8" woofer. My second set of monitors is an old set of JBL 4311 studio monitors. Works for me.

Falken,
Sounds like you have them too far away. Nearfields are called that for a reason :) I forget the exact distance mine are apart and from my mix position (triangle of course) but I'm sure it's not more than 4 feet.

You should maybe look at your monitor stands or you monitor position, as the BX8's can put out a huge bass under the right circumstances.
