Lynx2 cables question

The Lynx2 comes with a 25-pin male D-sub to male and female XLR connectors on six-foot shielded twisted pair cabling...

I'm gonna need more than a 6-foot cable really... is it gonna affect my signal if I use a 10-foot extension? I'm guessing I could just use a 25-pin cable extension... but is it gonna work properly?

sorry to *bump* again but I really wanna know :\

I still haven't decided on the delta1010 or the lynx2 so... it's the same problem in the case of the delta1010. Is it gonna work if I use a 10-foot 25pin cable extension from the breakout box to the card in addition to the cable that comes with the delta1010?
