i was transferring tracks from my pc to my mr8 using wav manager and my computer froze and restarted and i lost 4 min and 4 sec of memory(thats how long the track was) . does anyone know if there's any way to get it back.

If you have access to a CF-card reader you might be able to get the file back that way.

regards, Nils

memory

do you want the song file back, or just the memory on the card (the space)?

if you just want the space back do the delete unused function

if you want the song file b ack, will have to open the cf card on a card reader, find the data you want, ipen it in a wave editing program so you can rename it and re import it back to the mr8 (if it wasnt destroyed)

thanx for the replies. I've done the delete unused several times and even deleted the song and started new ones several times and it still wont give me the 4 minutes back

card readers are very cheap but it sounds as though you have a defective "sector" on the card perhaps.

I'd get the reader ($10-20) and see. You can also use the reader to transfer files to the computer more easily than with the MR-8.

Can windoze run scandisc on a CF card?
Never even considered it...

I just realized that my printer has ports built into it for several different types of flash, CF, etc., cards. Wierd!

card reader

many of them are five in one readers,

you can reformat the card and get it back to its original condition, i think its under the system menu if i remember correctly, when the reboot happend it caoud have fragmented part of the card, try reformatting the card, you will get the full space back

i reformatted the card and it worked . thanks i thought i was screwed
