Okay, I am looking to upgrade my midi interface. I am currently using the MOTU Pocket Express. It's a pretty good interface. 2 ins 4 outs, plus the bypass option which allows me to play my midi gear without having my computer on. The other functions I currently don't have a use for at this time. The reason for my upgrade is the fact that MOTU told me they were not planning on making any drivers for WIN2k for the pocket express becuase they were pushing the usb equipment. I am moving to Win2K/WinXP when I get a chance in the search for the stable OS. Any suggestions????

I didnt realize that about the pocket express. I have that same piece. As far as the OS upgrade is concern, Windows XP is suppose to be alot more backwards compatible as far as drivers and all are concerned..a big improvement over Win2K...in other words everything you have should work with XP..

I know XP is supposed to be backwards compatible, but I have a system for some reason it won't load anything with an NT kernel. So, I am going for another motherboard, chipset, OS, etc... It might be extreme, but, we will see...
