I want to create the wobble heard in dubstep, although I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I'm using Cubase6 LE. I don't have an external midi controller. Any help is much appreciated!

I've seen very little on this subject but there are a few blogs and you tube vieos out there google is your friend.

Buy NI Massive.

I bought it for my boy, who is into that dubstep shizzle ($200). KC sent him some patches to get him there quicker. Actually a very cool VSTi. Not sure where I would use it myself, but if I have the need, I know where the boy will live til he gets a job. >right here, living off me...til probably 35 if I don't kick him out sooner.....lol! Actually, not funny. I wouldn't hire the lazy ass.....Btw, I still love him. :)

Yeah, like 4000 youtube videos on how to make a dubstep wobble using various software.
Sometimes it seems like everyone wants to learn to do exactly the same thing.
Seems like 80% of what's new and hot on Soundcloud is dubsteb.
I'm still left scratching my head over it all.
(Not intended as a slight towards the OP).

It is those that ask these type of redundant questions, that find something new eventually. Even though they may be looking for the way to get there easy, does not mean they want to re-create the 'already done'.

What the hell am I saying, y'all suck! lol!

Just kidding... :D

really not my field but jimmys spot on here you go mate

I gotta say, I've watched quite a few convoluted "how to get from here to there" dubstep wobble vids, and this beats them all for its simplicity and clarity.

Thanks kip4, this is a great place!

:D

I hope you know I was kidding Bill!

Seriously, I have spent a bit of cash helping my boy find his way in this type of music. Too bad his room/subwoofer is only 15' from my bedroom. lol!

I have a tutorial vid on how to do it, but I have no idea if this midi plugin is in your version of cubase.

If not then just automate CC data 74 on pretty much any synth.

But here is the tutorial I did:

Cubase Dubstep Bass - YouTube

Sylenth1 seems to be popular for doing the warble, but the tutorials I have witnessed only seem to show you how to use the plugin not actually what is being done to create that sound.
