Looking for the best sound

Hi there I am building a home studio, I have a few people in my family that have a vocal
talent, I am looking for any ideas to help give my the best vocal sound while recording.

Do you have a budget?
Do you have any experience?
What's your final goal? Youtube videos for you friends? The next number 1?
Are you recording to backing tracks or are you going to have to record the music too?
