Looking for some Sony or Otari parts
Hi all,
I have a Sony APR-24, which is missing the button cap for the Record button on the remote. It's the same type as on the main recorder. I'm trying to find a replacement, but there aren't a lot of these machines around.
In my search, it appears that an electrically identical, but slightly cosmetically different, button switch was also used on some of the smaller Otari recorders, like the MX-50, and maybe the MX-55 or even the MX-5050.
This is the switch part at Studio Electronics, minus the cap, which is what I need.

This cap, from the same site, is the right type, but the wrong size.

What I need measures 17mm square, on the outside of the cap, though the switch is apparently measured under the cap, and is called 16mm.
They do sell some other Otari caps there, which again, are the right type, but not the right size.
All of that to ask, does anyone know where I might scare one of these caps up? I don't care if it's blank. Red would be great, but transparent white or cheap would be okay, too.
I've tried all the usual electronics sites, like Mouser, DigiKey, Newark, no luck, at least not in the right size.
