It seems like most other software including Cubase, Nuendo, SF etc. have audio clicks. Why would Emagic not include this in LA? I don't have an extra input on my sound card to route the click to.. and don't want to import a click track. Any suggestions? Switch software? :)

Why not import a click track? I never trusted the clicks in nuendo, cubase, digital orchestor, etc. It really doesn't take *that* much time, and you get instant fader control over it, and you can do cool gain and tempo changes as well. Something like fruity loops exports well as a wav file, and is easily imported.

I know you said, 'no importing', but creating a click track in another program and importing is not that big a deal, and it is way more flexible.

The click track is in the arrange window list down below the midi instruments. It can provide a click through your SB using whatever instrument you like. Or, it can be routed to an external midi device.

of course logic has a metronome! the switch is on the transport bar.

what i do a lot lately is record some clicks and the tempo that feels right (either muted chords on the guit, clicking fingers, whatever), use the audio editor to make sure it's tight (i'll loop 2 or 3 clicks) and boom i've got a click track that feels a tiny bit loose, at the tempo i find right...and those tempos are often quite odd, y'know 86.2234bpm.
