Sorry Tim, but I can't make it (yeah I know its already over :D ) unless I get a brewski.

Just kidding, sounds like fun. You do sound like Roy there. wifey is isn't slaking off either !!

All the background noise reminds of playing at coffee houses and pubs. sometimes you just wanna say, attention , attention, pls STFU, we are recording here LOL:D

Thanks for sharing.

I like it as it is - a little mystery as to how you really sound.
A little like the intro on Kicks from Coney Island Babies except the party fades on that.

Certainly another aspects of the guitarist that is Tim.
You've left us wanting more so have achieved the penultimate.

Nice sound from what can be heard.
I don't go to parties anymore...

Well I’m glad y’all came by the party… there’s still some beer in the fridge so we’ll have to do it again.

Chris – Roy Orbison, I wish. Thanks, my friend.

variaxman, gummblefish – the lead gtr was an old beat up Peavey Patriot, going through a little Peavey practice amp. That wasn’t dialed in distortion. It was the amp shaking apart! ;) The rhythm player was using my SWR amp.

Apl, Supercreep, VSpaceBoy, sikter – thanks for dropping by the party. :)

Nakatira – Don’t know the Floyd tune mentioned… I’ll check it out.

Ido1957 – thanks and especially for the comments about the bass! Man, I love that old Johnny Rivers live stuff.

Metalhead28 –well if a rocker or classico is going to rap everybody better be drunk, heh.

True – she was using an Ibanez elec bass through a small Beri amp. Glad you liked the vibe. :)

Dogman – any time buddy.

Travis – more vocals? Dunno about in the studio, man, but definitely at the next party.

CIRO – OK, next party I’ll set up an extra sm57 for you.

lbanks – to which “older days” are you referring…? Glad you liked it.

Tonio – what kind of beer do you drink?

rayc - Thank you. I usually avoid parties too, unless I can use it as an excuse to play, heh.

I've replaced the orig file with a new mix. Filtered out bleed from the bass that was in the rhythm gtr track, Compressed the bass gtr to make it pop a little more, and did a little volume automation on the vocal.

EDIT: nope, pls disregard. Went back to the orig.

The mix seems to have more compression somehow..maybe it's the bass...could be just my newbie ears though.... :D

Everything seems to be a bit louder - vocals especially - coming through the mix better...the background/audience doesn't cover up as much as before...

:D :) :D :)

ido1957 thanks for checking the new mix out.

I've listened to it a few times now and have decided to stick with the first mix. I'm gonna stop torturing myself w/mixing and go play some more gtr. ;)

Cool piece!

If'n you ever play down in Portland, let me know - I'd love to come see you live!

Hey everyone!!

I'm a little late to the party here, hope I didn't miss anything.

Yeah, now that Seamus has been mentioned, I can hear it too.

Sounds very cool Tim. I like what I can hear of your voice. The bass is huge and boomy, like it always is at a party!!!!

It sure would be fun to jam with you!!! Thanks for the invite, man. Take care.

I could stand with a lot more of the vocals; it does have that delicious, warbly Orbisonesque thing happening. Don't hide it! Bass could be more clearly defined... Not louder, just more of 4K, less of 62Hz...

You sing great, and I love the guitar stylings, as usual!

NL5 - Thanks. If I do anything down that way I'll let you know!

Incanus - Never too late to show up! You know, we should have a west coast jamfest.

Llarion - Yeah, I left the bass sounding like it did live but it could definitely do with some EQ. The main problem I ran into with it is bleed into the other mikes, since it was pretty much shaking the floor, heh. I'll tinker with it. Thanks for the suggestions and nice words.

Hey Tim....I'm a little late to the party, but I finally staggered in here. It's like walking into a smokey bar with a good vibe going on. I love the lead sound when you throw in a lick. Great voice too. You created the atmosphere you were going for for sure. Great stuff, buddy, and thanx for the invite...Next time I'll be on time. :)

Uh-oh, just checked the fridge and we're OUT of beer. Catch you at the next one.
