Wtf is a PRS
I think i know the answer to this already... but..

IS there anyway to get some sustained feedback using the PODx3 directly connected to my DAW?

Anyone fooled the system on this one yet?

Sorry if this amp sim question offends any gear heads... I was going to put it in the Digital and Computers thread but it really i think it kind fits in here then the other?

Thanks for any and all help!

You can get feedback, depending upon your patch, recording level and monitoring situation. Just find an overdriven patch, crank your monitors and play close to them.... viola.

The key is to crank the monitors.

Split your signal and send to an amp as well. Let it do what it do.

Actually, I've always wanted to try this with a clean sound. I don't record direct, but I think it would be cool to set up a nice clean tone in the studio, and sit in the control room with a driven amp cranked to the max getting all sorts of (controllable) feedback and sustain, but record the clean amp.

Dunno, may sound like ass, but maybe not.

Pull out your cord and stick it in your mouth.

one time at fuck the hell off camp ....

All very good ideas.... Very good ideas.

I will have to give em a try for sure.... I fucked with a bit on the weekend and had no luck.

Wil keep you posted.

So i was looking at it last night (i didnt try recording it just casue i was tinkering with my brother for guitar sounds and i think i got it....

it has two outputs???

Now i have the POD set up via USB to my daw which shouldn't matter if i have the two putputs going where ever right? and that in my daw that tone port 2 isnt armed to record...

So i could dial what i want and use tone port 1 and on tone port 2 i could line out to an amp and jam live and if i understand feedback, it should give me feedback if i crank it (the amp) loud enough....

and i should get the same response from the amp sim in tone port 1 becuase the feedback is travelling through the pick ups yea?

I am going ot try it this weekend.

if i get out of this office ever... haha.
