ax2 is great
Ive got an ax2 and its the best thing since sliced bread. I can control all my patches in real time on my computer with a nice interface from patchwizard. there are a lot of patches available but most require tweaking. You can screw up your sound by setting things that dont happen in the real world but after a while you get the hang of it. I can get my amp to sound like 10 classic amp sounds including many tube settings. There have been some ax2's sold at musicians friend and bstock from american musical supply refurbs recently as low as $450 . I ordered one to put at the other end of the house from where I do my recording. This is the next thing in tech that all players will catch up with in a few years. No more tubes is great if you ask me. Plus sound better than any tube amp Ive ever owned. get an ax2 and you won't regret it! Ive heard a bunch about the lack of reliability but Thats probably caused by people not doing wise things to there equipment. the built in effects can be way overdone by an unwise user and in the end ther is an amp there that cauld be pushed beyond its limits. also changing patches could give quite a surge if you go from soft clean to screaming grunge
