LOL - I was trying to ignore it!!!

You know, it's actually worse than one dropped kick. I went back and really paid better attention to the kick in that section, and he was hitting some hits REALLY lightly - so light, I don't know if they are even intentional. For sure though, it dropped a bunch of hits that were just too soft for the trigger, and I didn't catch it - shame on me!

I love this tune. I sang this in clubs when it was big. Who's siniging this??? Great voice. Drums sound top notch, man. Like a machine (and I mean that in a good way). The whole mix sounds great to me.

I just got an email from the band complaining that the mix is too muddy. Anybody hear too much mud? I thought recording-wise it was pretty top notch.

Oh well, here we go again. You turn in a great mix and they start bitching and ask you to destroy their music. "That's too fucking muddy, we want it to sound like Marylin Manson on the radio!"

I say, they are full of the s-word.

Or maybe they just don't like their bass player, who knows.

I feel a bit better, I thought maybe I just wasn't hearing the "mud". I am awaiting clarification on the comments from the band, maybe they meant something different than what I would call "mud".
