Found a secondhand one in good nic, how does it compare to the newer MPX 500??

Also.... no one has repleid to my post about the focusrite trakmaster, does'nt anyone have one?? were they released in the USA ??

Just wondering what you thought of em, i want to use it for vocals but i dont want to get a vocal dedicated pre i want to use it for other stuff to like acoustic guitars, bass, anything really.
 
its pretty nice, but dont pay more than $175.

Really nice, warm sound with a smooth tail and the stereo envelopes you when you listen with headphones
 
I have one -- it's warmer-sounding than the 500... I like it - I think you will too...

Well, actually I don't know if I would. I typed it without realising that I never heard the 500.

I did work a lot with the lxp15II though, and think its a real great machine.
I guess I just assumed the 500 isn't that great because I never liked the cheaper ranges of the bigger brands.

I think anything below the mpx1 is kind of not so great. Same goes for the TC Electronics M-one series. I have the M-one and the M3000. Though you really can't compare these two, I would never buy the M-one again.
 
I have a pair of MPX500s and I like them too.....!
