At least I'd leave the slop to the hog trough and not on the fretboard. I can see hours of bad practice routines were spent with our "modest" thread starter here, where speed was the goal over precision and note choice. Bad idea, much less wasted time.

Oh, man. You mean you DIDN'T post that crap as a joke?

I apologize for the "comedy schtick" comment, and will offer you some constructive criticism gleaned from my 33 years as a guitar player.

What I heard in your clips was a series of rolls played as fast as your little fingers could go. Speed you have, my friend.

Unfortunately, speed is not the be-all and end-all of good guitar playing. You need other things too. Things like melody, phrasing, and staying in rythym. None of these things were present in your leads.

My advice: listen to people like Jimi Hendrix, John McLaughlin, and Jeff Beck. Pay attention to the way they phrase their leads, the melodies within, and how they always play with or around the rythym of the song.

As for your singing, find a vocal coach who can train your ear, and help you sing on pitch.

I disagree... I heard slop... speed without clean is nothing for starters.... then there is melody, direction, etc.
