I tried out one of these new guitars yesterday. Played it through a two channel Traynor combo (fairly good amp). It sounded good - both pickups were smooth and not brittle. Good tone in neck pickup for thick blues, and just a bit brighter on the bridge but not harsh.
The worst thing about it was the tuning and intonation issues. I looked at the saddles and they weren't all the same place and loked like they had been adjusted somewhat. There was catching on the nut and the thing kept going out of tune. To be fair I didn't have a tuner and I'm no expert but it just seemed to be a problem at times.
Another issue I had was reaching the high frets - say A above the twelveth fret. I had trouble with the neck joint getting in the way.
There was also some initial getting used to the binding on the neck.
The asymetrical neck was just okay, I prefer the 60's neck.
FYI - I have a Kramer Pacer and an EC Strat, which are very different necks.
I could get used to it but I woory about the tuning/intonation which scares me. I may have to try out the Traditional to see what it's like next time...

I believe the price was $2650 Canadian at the local L and M....
