Hi this is my first post so be easy on me if I inadvertently break any protocol.
After trying demo's of many of the major home recording softwares I opted for Samplitude producer edition. As this is supposedly simpler version of Samplitude pro and a ne'er version of the old magic music maker which always had a reputation for good feature/price relationship. I have messed about with things in the past but my guitar playing has now got better (several shredded fingers later) ;) I now need to get serious with this home recording but can find very little by the way of tutorials for my chosen software except 1 short video that came with it and a 500 page manual. Does can anyone point me in the right direction, the learning curve is sharpe and I would like to spend more time creating than reading that god awful manual.

Cheers

As awful as it may be, that manual is the first and most logical place to start. You'll be surprized just what you'll take in and retain. It seems daunting now, understandably. It won't always.

It's tough starting out, because to master any field of human endeavour requires training skills and experience. The learning curve is inevitable whatever software you choose. If you persist, it will become clearer.

As you work it out, compile your own tutorial to help others in the future....

Alternatively, get a DAW program for which extensive support tutorials already exist...
