Leaning towards C1 vs. V67G. Am I wasting $100?

Well if you can't audition the mic's... just flip a coin and buy the one that wins the flip. Good luck.
 
I would say to buy them both....you will end up using both of them.

i only have experience with the C-1 though

Thanks jimistone. Great example of how this mic cuts through the mix. Just curious... do you recall if you had the pad engaged or added any eq? Also, how far were you from the mic and how much upfront vocal compression was added? Thanks
 
Im thinking about getting a C1, not really for vocals but as a room mic mainly for drums get a bit of flap from the kik and some smooth highs.

Would the C1 dissapoint me in this application?

Any suggestions?
 
i have one of the early C-1's that didn't have a pad. There was no compression on this vocal track. I always eq a vocal when I mix to fit the vocal properly within the context of the song.

I use my v67g infront of my kit once in a while and love it.
