Lawson L251 vs C12vr

I was planning on purchasing the C12vr, but a few people have pointed me in other directions.

I was wondering if you can tell me weather or not the Lawson L251 is a good quality mic, and if it's compatible to the C12vr? I'm looking to buy something mainly for vocals.

Better be a good mic they cost a bundle. I once had a chance at one at a pawn broker here but I thought the price of 400.00 they had was alittle high.

Little did I know that they went for 2500.00, great looking peice.

I used a Lawson mic extensively for vocals on my new album. I forgot the model, but it was not tube, and it was all gold. Looking at their website, I don't see it. Anyways, I thought the mic was ok, But I certianly was not blown away by it. Using the same preamp (a Focusrite Red7 and ISA110 mainly) I liked the sound of a TLM 103 just as much, if not more.
