Laptop Issue

I also bought a new laptop last Oct. When I tried recording with Audacity I also got those clicks you are talking about. The latency was pretty bad also. I then tried it with SoundForge and didn't get the clicks. Don't know about the latency because it is two-track.

Is it something about Audacity that is causing this or is it really just the settings?
