So my laptop battery on my dell just stays at %39 when it's plugged into the wall...it won't recharge it at the same time like it should...any ideas of what I did? haha. I had a lot of spyware on it a little while ago....

How old is it??

Laptop batteries (in fact ALL batteries) do not last forever. Most have only 500-1000 charges in them IF you take care of them... and you could always have gotten a lemon.

Buy a new one or, if it's still relatively new, see if Dell will replace it.

Bought it this year. I'm thinking it's a driver issue or something, I was messing with Hijack this! and all these anti spyware programs...seems like after that it just stayed at 39% all the time.

Perhaps I'll have to call Dell...ha.

I doubt it's "a driver issue". Batteries don't use drivers. Here's a test. Turn your computer off and leave it plugged in. Turn it on after a while (say overnight) and see if it charged all the way. Here's something else you can try. Unplug it while it's running and see if it drops. Troubleshoot, man!

It might be a software thing if the battery is fully charged but Windows is not displaying it properly. Happened to my Compaq once or twice. I think I shut Windows down (completely, not a restart) and when I turned it back on Windows displayed it correctly. Good luck.
