holy... talk about watering down the gene pool even more... anything endorsed by justin bieber(or any other flop star) is whats wrong with our disposable society... "oh i like this buy it!" and 20 minutes after the little consumers get their fix for pop culture... they throw it away! creating more garbage and more waste that could have been spent on something of quality and more ecologically sustainable... /rant

Yes, it will. My kids each got one for christmas. Each guitar came loaded with 3 songs, one of which is smoke on the water. I know mississippi queen is on there too. When they brush their hands across the frets (anywhere) ala air guitar, the music comes on and off while the underlying beat continues. Obnoxious, but they do love it. For little kids it seems like a fun toy. There is also a free play mode, but it isn't very responsive and doesn't work that well.

If it can play real chords may be the kids will wise up see how easy it can be a beg mommy and daddy for a Gretsch or something.

Sure, it's lame now. Then the Flaming Lips will put a Kaos pad in there and play it on stage. Then it will be cool!

Yeah, it's a pretty goofy toy. I'm sure a clever band could figure out a decent-sounding (but still gimmicky) application for it if they wanted to. Maybe an avant-garde band with some kid in freestyle mode?
