I have a label full of talented individuals including myself. I mix and master all of our songs, but now days i have been overwhelmed with school, family, and music. I'm am looking for some one who will assist with the mixing and mastering. We are on a low budget, it's not like we are signed yet. We have offers and have been recognized by major record labels connects such as Walter Bryd, the former manager of former Dipset Affiliate Max B. I'm a humble and honest person that is willing to give all credit to the engineer. As far as money goes, we can work out a contract. We are looking for someone to bring with us to the top. When a deal is cut with a major label, we will make sure that you will get taught by the best in the craft.

You can take a listen to our music at myspace.com/trustate

Excellent! I'm pleased that your business is shaping up well with lots of promise.

Now place an advertisement in the positions vacant section of your newspaper.

Work out what kind of contract...pay as you go...or pay when you make it big?

I would do it for free...but then, I would need you to come cut my grass and rake my leaves and shovel my driveway this winter...for free...
...but I promise to give you credit for the work. ;)

Dude...we are all in the same boat...overwhelmed with life, family and music.
It's hard enough getting our own work done.

I honestly wish you the best of luck, but aren't you aiming kind of low looking for a house engineer in a home recording forum?

Awww...c'mon Glen, I thought we weren't going to differentiate between home and pro. ;)

Don't start, miro. You've already got a forum tennis opponent to rise to your bait this weekend. I'm not biting. ;)

I'd do it easy if say you had a sister that could come over and do free stuff for me. :)

I'm reminded of that scene in "The Magnificent Seven", when the Mexican farmers are first looking for hired guns:

FARMER ONE: Let's hire him, he looks mean; he has a scar on his face.

FARMER TWO: I'd rather have the man who gave him that scar.

Why would you want to hire someone who needs to be trained? You should be going after the trainer.

Especially if you really expect a real label to actually take the engineer along with your talent. A label probably isn't going to give a shit about hiring a no-name engineer; all they are interested in is if you have an artist talent pool from which they can make money. They can hire any engineers they want once they have that, and not have to worry about anyone who isn't even an engineer yet because they still need training.

Now, if you truly believe in your product and it's future, as it sounds as if you do, you should be able to sell your idea to a Named Engineer who would be willing to not only help you with the engineering, but give you the extra cache in the business to get you foot in more doors. That's where you should be shopping. Aim higher. Do some research on personalities, target some specific names, and go after them.

I think the key word for the OP is "hire"...vs....free. :)

I agree that if the music is THAT good, there may be someone(?) out there who could become intersested that could do great enginnering and also push them forward...but finding that person is the hard part, especially to get them to do it free...on spec toward some "future payoff".

Glen is right...little chance of finding them on an Internet audio forum.

pity he lost in straight sets......:nowink:

Is the Cave slow again...or do you just like being in my shadow?

If you're going to post-up on the audio forums...why not hold off until you have something of value and substance to add.
Of course...there's always the Newbie forum....you can impress there without too much effort.

Hey...maybe you should hook up with the OP...he says you will be taught by the best in the craft.

I'm in the shadow of a person who shouts racist when someone says "my slavic friend" once? lol

and your post has value and substance does it?

I'll post where I like, this is a public forum..

Also I am a newbie why would I try to impress my fellow newbies? you seem to be the one out to impress dude..I was having a bit of fun..you're going to start crying again and your pals will try to boost you up by saying you're good at this internet malarky :D

news just in..your not, your skins too thin

and you added an edit...maybe I will join the OP..I could do with the experience..Im not above learning

Yeah...just like figured...you are the one crying now.
Well I'm just having some fun too, so stop sobbing about it.

I guess you didn't get the sarcasm....

Good...join the OP.

Come back when you have something to add, instead of just showing up in threads to stir up shit and then crying about the responses you get.

No I didn't, remember I don't think you have the finesse with the subtleties of the English language to casually drop sarcasm into a post..

apologies...I stand corrected

I will try to tune in to your "pro" sense of humour next time ;) <=== that was a joke

enjoy your day..I'm off to stick another offering up in the MP3 clinic..I've got a 50% success rate in there so far so fingers crossed I'm improving :)

wow you nearly did good...now youve fucked it again

1. I wasn't the one to bring it up...Glen did when he tried to pat your back like your weren't whipped yesterday..unlike you I can read between the lines and don't need the "vagueness" fully explained

2. I accuse you of whining like a baby so you automatically say " oh no its you who is crying"...ah self owning in its raw and beautiful form..

3. I would have no problem helping the OP if i had the experience or time...or I could just maybe mock him..because that is really "adding to something" huh?

The MP3 Gods will be happy.
Do you stick it with a knife?
Take better aim this time...I'm sure you can imporve your 50% success rate.
