I would prefer the 6" driver myself.
4,5,6,7,8...Nearfield,

the bigger the driver the more Bass is rule of thumb, right?
6" is often the "middle choice" capturing the bass and the midrange...
smaller more midrange/less bass which is often accompanied with a sub. larger more bass/less midrange.

Dance Music you might want to save for a 8" or a 5" and sub is really nice, imo.

As far as brands KRK and JBL are both well known.

If you're producing dance music........or pretty much most other kinds as well.......6" monitors will likely not give you all that you'll need for bass response. They'll work fine with a good quality sub though.

The JBL's with the matching sub would be the way to go, Have you thought about buying the JBL's and saving for the sub a bit later?

Buy the way I don't have the LSR2325p monitors but do have the LSR2310SP sub in use with other monitors and it sounds very good.

Alan.

+1 on the JBLs
AND the sub

We are using the LSR2325s for the surround speakers in a 7.1 facility in Toronto.

Cheers,
John
