KRK Deals - Opnions?

KRK VXT6 - 785.00/pair - If I can get a price match I can possibly get these for $680 pair. I'm seriously doubting this will happen, but I'm all over these if I can.

KRK VXT4 - $490/pair - Add sub later

KRK RP8 G2 - $480/pair

I'm really down to the VXT4 or VXT6 and leaning toward the 6. Interested in thoughts on VXT 6 now or VXT 4 and sub later.

The RP8 is on sale so I thought I would throw it in. I still think I would prefer the VXT 4 to the RP8.

I have searched and read until I'm sick. I'm going to listen to all the KRK monitors again tomorrow.

On short list - Fading fast because of purchasing options/availability.

I use the RP5s. I A/B'ed them against everything in their price range and liked them the best. That said, I feel that the VXTs are definitely a step up from the RP series. At the time of my listening test, the V4s were a little bit more money than the RP5s and I almost got those instead. They're amazing for 4 inchers. Of all of the monitors you mentioned, I think the VXT6s would be the best if you can swing them money-wise.

Thanks for your opinion.. I went in to get the VXT6 this weekend and all they had was floor models and one of them was messed up.
I am still leaning toward the 6, but I'm itching to go pickup the VXT4 now and add sub later. I can't find anyone talking about the VXT4 with the sub.

The room is currently NOT treated, but will be. It's 12'x12' with 8' ceilings and a closet that is 31'' x 69''. I think the 6 would be ok for my box room once treatment is completed. I'm just wondering if the 4 and sub would be too much or perfect fit. Sub would be more controllable adjusting sub levels?

Then I had to go and read about the Sonodyne SM100Ak. The torture.. monitor shopping.
