Korg D1600 and D1600MKII difference...????

I am ready to buy a Korg stand alone D1600 recorder, can someone tell me what is the difference between the new 1600MKII ($1050) model and 1600($950) model.Go to the Korg forums at http://www.korgstudios.com/forum/default.asp

I have the mkII and am so glad I bought it. I can't tell you what the difference is between the two, though. I almost bought the Fostex and Tascam, and looking back, consider myself lucky I went with the Korg.

Seriously tho, I don't know either. I did use the mkii in the store and it was nice. I also tried the roland 2000, tascam 2488, and others. I'm still undecided. I haven't tried the fostex vf160ex tho, i don't see it around.
everything you end up with has it's little problems and idiosyncracies that will piss you off. nothing's perfect. but at least that unit has 16 tracks and you can burn cd on it.
