Maybe a bad question... but has anyone ever tried using a speaker as a mic for a kickdrum? I'm going to give it a go tonight and was looking for a success / disaster story or two!!!

Fletcher said:I use one of the Kevlar 6" speakers from a KRK monitor... it works great as a second kik drum "mic" [which seems to be about the only thing I've found that anything "KRK" does well].

it's easy to do and combined with a beater side mic, it's fantastic.
