I have a digital piano hooked up to a midi interface for use with coda finale notation software.

Is it possible for me to hear my piano play back through my computer monitors in real time.

Such as line out from piano to soundcard etc??

I really have no clue?

Yes, any midi sequencing s/w will let you hear what you're playing as long as you've got a midi connection into your PC.

Download a trial of Reaper & hear what it can do

oh really? great !

So no audio cable needed then?

It depends what you want to hear, with no audio cable, you can set up your pc to use VSTi instruments to play the notes triggered from you keyboard. If you want to actually hear the sounds the keyboard/piano makes though, you will need to hook the audio up from the piano to your sound card.

yes i want to hear the sounds my piano make through my soundcard, on my piano i have a midi in/out running through an x1 midi interface and on my piano i have an 2 AUX LINE OUTS so i run a cable from those out puts of my piano to my RCA INputs on my computer?????

Are the RCA connections analog or digital? If they are analogue, it should work

I have both analog and digital
