I'm planning to get a decent keyboard for less than $1000. Can you guys suggest any? Brands? Models? Are Roland and Korg the best keyboards around? Thanks.. =)
Do you need to have sounds with it?
Are you looking for a controller?
Do you have a sound module?
88 keys?
76 keys?
Weighted action hammers?
Give a few specifics of what you'd like to have, and we'd be happy to make some suggestions.
For keyboards, it's a BUYERS market. Vendors have them bulging out of the walls and for your budget, you can get a pretty decent keyboard.
But, as the folks said, you need to be more specific or know what is it you want to do with your new keyboard.
Best advice I can give you is to go to a vendor and put your fingers on some boards. Ask about features. Usually a vendor will have someone there who can illustrate the features of their keyboards.
After that, spend you money and keep the economy growing.
yup.. go out and try them devils.. try, try, try... that's how i got me my supernova, took me a few months there's plenty of modules and plenty of time if you have some nice synth shops..
I'd suggest the E-MU Mo'Phatt or the Orbit 3.. these are simply sound modules with great sounds and great filters, designed for RnB and hip hop. Or simply buy a Custom Proteus and fill it with your preferred soundbanks. It can have 128 mb of wave rom at a time.
