Hey guys, I've been lurking around this forum for awhile, but just recently created an account. I'm having a great time learning from this community and I'm interested in what you guys think of some of the (very) basic demos I've done for the band I'm in (well, we call ourselves a band, but right now we're just two guys writing together). We're influenced a lot by Bowie, the whole glam rock movement, the Beatles and a bit of punk. We sound a little...Different. We've been going for ages, but haven't really gotten anything done because of lack of other musicians (bass and drums) and some pure and simple laziness on our parts.
Just so you know, all of this stuff was done as a -complete- amateur of home recording, I simply trialled Auditions for the first song, went through a fairly steep learning curve by experimentation and liked it so much I ended up grabbing it (and not eating for a week because of the expense =/). In any case, have a listen and tell me what you think. My personal fave is Don't Say A Thing but Listen To Your Father also holds a place in my heart.
