Does anyone have any advice or experiences with the C1 they'd like to share? It should be here in a couple days and I've only heard a couple recordings from this site...but I can't wait to try it out! I've been using a Bheringer B2 so I'm *expecting* reasonable improvement :)

I know that I ordered one on Friday after Thanksgiving from 8thstreet and still haven't gotten it because iot is back ordered.

I just called the number on their website to cancel the order, and it had a message with another number. So I called it and it offerred me "Hot, horny girls."

Now, while that certainly sounds interesting, I sure hope there's some mistake!

Alright I got through on my regular phone to the right contact...hehe. I don't know how I ended up at that other number!
Anyway, I have no patience...

Beezo, sounds like they're quite heavily back-ordered. I upgraded to the C3, but I was tempted before to go that way anyhow :)

SLuiCe,
Both the C1 and C3 are really nice mic's, and my advice would be to get a pop filter for it also.

Nah that won't be necessary..... I never use the letters B and P. :D

Yeah, I ordered a C-1 from 8th Street also. when I got the email about the back order, I called and cancelled. I ordered one from Eastcoast Music Hall, thinking they would have them in stock. No such luck. I called them and they said no one has them right now and everyone is expecting shippment in January. They have the same deal as 8th Street with the free shipping, but they also added a free mic cord. I decided to just let my order stand with them. They said I wouldn't be charged until it shipped so I figure this will just give something to look forward to in January. Kind of like a second Christmas. :D

Blessings, Terry

You are obviously lacking your daily dose of Sesame St. :)

This dealer is just starting out, and the page aint up yet but he has the whole SP line, just email russ and metion that you know Wayne(it may not guarantee any discount, but thats sure to impress anyone:cool: )

SLuiCe-

I have a C1. You can have mine........

WHEN YOU PRY IT FROM MY COLD, DEAD FINGERS!!!!!!:D

When I called last night to change from C1 to C3, he knocked about 30 bucks off the C3. Made me feel even better about the deal...but based on the reputations of these mics, that 30 clams wouldn't have made too much a difference to me. I'll have something with the C3 on it hopefully next week in the clinic...

Now... what to do with this Baa...beh..b-b...bheringer...

Best tip about the C1 that ive found, is that the shock mount breaks easier than the C1. Mine broke with an extremely minor fall. It was really easy to fix though because it was just the elastice clamp thingy that came apart and i just opened it up, put the elastic back in there, and pliered the clamp together really tight so i wouldnt have that problem again.

Other than that, its a great mic. (who needs a neumann?)

I'm not positive it's still there but last time I looked, Russ at Homestudiomusician.com had a C3 in stock. (Just in case you can't find one somewhere else)

Drop him a line. Tell him Jason sent you. It'll impress him much more than if Wayne sent you! ;)

That's all folks!

Make sure (Shure?) you call it a "large diaphragm studio condensor microphone". That oughta impress the eBayer's.

Or just call it a Euromic. To go with your Eurodesk. Or your Eurorack.

hahaha....this has turned into a pretty funny thread!

The C3 was shipped this afternoon :D

Other uses for the Behringer...

1) You can NEVER have enough doorstops.

2) Makes a handy weapon when slipped into a pillowcase-kinda like the bar of soap in "Full Metal Jacket"...

3) Pull off the windscreen and use it to sift your cat litter.

4) Paperweights make great Christmas gifts.

5) Put the windscreen on a spring and make it a Bobblehead.

6) Rolling pin for Christmas cookies?

I'm sure there are other things that that piece of equipment would be useful for. Unfortunately, none of them involve music or recording...

Id keep the B2 for another color, They are rebadged rode nt2 mics good if you have a dirty voice like seger or something.
