I picked up a copy of Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio and Recording Secrets for the Small Studio both by Mike Senior.
I'm starting with Recording Secrets since that seems like the logical place to start. I've heard really good things about the Mixing book from a lot of places. I'm hoping to learn some essentials.
