just got a firebox and have question about propak

i'm new to recording software.

do you use propak software suite for your recordings (drum loops, effects, etc.?), or can you just do all of that using cubase only? is fruityloops better for creating drum tracks? thanks.

reason asking is that ProPak Recording Software won't read

Never mind. I read a thread by VeganZombie, another thread saying that the CD doesn't read.

I'll probably just get Fruity Loops. Does it cost $35? I look it up on FL's website, and it says the minimum edition is $100.

The disk wont read? I assume you realize that it is a DVD, not a CDROM. If that is the case, you should be contacting presonus since it is a feature of the package and 2 gigs of loops is not something I would be willing to pass up. FL is $49 for the "express" version but bear in mind that only the producer edition+ allows recording into it.
