just bought sony MZ-RH1 mini-disc.... and....

I've just purchased the Sony MZ-RH1 mini disc after much consulation, soul-searching, and research. I'm going to use the unit to record irish-music sessions live (acoustic) and would appreciate some advice on what mic to use - i've been recommended a few names but won't colour this discussion by mentioning them and hopefully some information I've already correlated will match up with what you guys say. According to the manufacurers no pre-amp looks to be necessary. I will also be using the line-in on the RH1 to take the line-out on my mixing disc of mic'd up gigs. Any words of wisdom or warnings on the do's and don'ts of this type of recording woudl also be appreciated with specific reference to the recording options available on the RH1 unit.

I have a Sony ECM-MS907 stereo mic for my minidisc rig. It sounds pretty good and you don't have to worry about getting XLR to 1/8"...and it's stereo.
